Cari Cole is a Vocal Coach and Artist Development Expert who has worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment business. From Grammy winners and American Idol finalists to rock star legends and emerging, aspiring artists, Cari’s formula works.

When it comes down to it, the path to success in the music business is not a mystery. It’s a combination of habits & actions, mindsets and awareness that sadly, most aspiring artists don’t take steps to learn. (Mostly because no one has ever taught them!) Cari Cole has made it her mission to change that. In a time when music artists have more opportunities than ever before, Cari is empowering them to take their music and their careers into their own hands.

	As Vocal Coach, Cari teaches contemporary technique and styling and also specializes in holistic care of the singing voice using natural methodologies such as homeopathy and herbal remedies along with bodywork, yoga and massage to release deeper tensions associated with vocal problems.
	Cari is an Expert in Artist Development, helping artists find their unique sound and style and create more success in their careers. She co-writes and teaches songwriting to her clients helping them find their writing style. Cari guides new artists through the process of putting their projects together, performing and introducing their music to industry. She works with new artists just starting out all the way up to pro artists looking to reinvent themselves.
	Cari is also a singer-songwriter, whose CD debut, The Circle of Fire, inspired by the NY Times bestseller “the Four Agreements” by don Miguel Ruiz, has touched the lives and hearts of thousands of beloved fans around the world.

	Cari has coached newcomers Diane Birch and Grammy winner Chrisette Michele as well as 4 time Grammy Award winner Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, rock star Courtney Love and the legendary band of Journey among many other notables. Noted by FOX TV as a coach who helps pro singers find their voice (Fox News called her “one of NYC's best pop/contemporary vocal coaches”), she has also coached several American Idol finalists, among them Kimberley Locke from American Idol's second season. Cari is a guest celebrity vocal coach for FOX 5 TV/NY. Her clientele is and has been on the following record labels; Sony, Warner Bros., Atlantic, BMG, Virgin, Island, Reprise, Columbia, S Curve, Elektra Ent, Arista, Geffen, DreamWorks and Concord among others. Cari is a vocal consultant to industry professionals in the U.S., Asia, Europe and Canada.
	Cari is a voting member of NARAS (The Grammy’s), an award winning songwriter and publisher with ASCAP, a past board member and consultant for the NY Singing Teachers Association, a member of Women in Music, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, CDBaby.com, Amnesty International, Oxfam and the Songwriters Guild of America. She works with a multitude of production studios, producers, managers, songwriters and musicians in New York. Cari Cole Voice & Music Co. 	Cari founded Cari Cole Voice Studios in 1987 out of a desire to provide a place of study for the contemporary popular singer. She brings her vast experience as a teacher and a singer of 30 years to her Manhattan based vocal studio and increasingly to students around the world through her online Artist Development Programs (Step Up to the Spotlight & Rockstar Bootcamp Program & Blueprint) and Singer’s Gift Vocal Exercise series. Her teaching methods are derived from the Bel Canto system combined with a mix of methodologies from Alexander to Linklater - presented to the contemporary vocalist. Her methodology is highly regarded as a groundbreaking system for developing and advancing professional and aspiring vocalists.
	Cari began her musical studies at the age of six and began performing at the age of seven. She studied classical guitar, flute and voice, absorbing the knowledge of classical music -- but her love for contemporary music led her on a search to what would become her comprehensive and powerful vocal technique and training for the contemporary singer. Her desire to master the art of contemporary singing brought her to an apprenticeship with the world-renowned teacher of rock and roll stars, Katherine Agresta. It was under Katie’s direction and tutelage that Cole studied voice intensively over ten years. During this time she attended the New York School for Commercial Music where she majored in Commercial Singing and Music - studying voice, jingle singing, composition, theory and jazz guitar. Her deep understanding of vocal pedagogy from her mentorship with Katie Agresta - a master of the technical voice – combined with her musicianship led her to share her knowledge by becoming a teacher. Cole deepened and advanced her private vocal studies with Katie and began her journey as a teacher leading to the formulation of her own methodology in 1987. Cari is one of Katie’s premier students and designated respected teachers.
