Artist Development
Artist Development

Cari Cole has been passionately guiding, mentoring and developing artists over the past two decades in New York City. Singers and vocalists come from all over to fine-tune and perfect their craft, find their style, and improve their careers.
Cari empowers artists and prepares them for the industry giving them all the tools and resources they need. She teaches artists to be creators of their career and puts them in action toward their goals. The music business is all about building relationships, teamwork – it’s about connecting with people in the business who can put your music out there and invest in your future as an artist. The music business is a complex and confusing industry that requires more than casual knowledge to navigate a career and in this, Cari is an expert.
“I don’t believe in pitch correction. My artists sing on key and write their own songs—I develop real artists.”
Cari’s Artist Development Group Program:
A Kick-Start Six Week Artist Development Program for aspiring and emerging artists.
“I participated in a prestigious province-wide contest called Ma Première Place des Arts in Montreal. I thank my lucky stars that I have found Step Up to the Spotlight and that this past week was about confidence cause I was able to put it into action! About 25 industry people were there to vote, and I was picked! Just another victory from one of your Step Up students, and this one is for you too! Thanks for creating the program and making it available – I am ecstatic!”

Cari’s One-on-One Artist Development Sessions
Working with Cari in her one-on-one private sessions, artists are guided to work on all the details from vocal technique and style to performance and stage persona, songwriting craft & recording, as well as learning the industry from the insider’s mindset. These can be conducted in-person or from a distance using Skype and other remote technology.
Cari’s private studio time is very limited and most artists work with her in her group programs. Cari recommends to all students who are interested in working with her one-on-one to fill out an application and get on the waiting list. As spots open up, Cari reviews all the applications and you’ll hear from her. If Cari cannot find space for you in her studio time, she will refer you to her programs and Singer’s Gift series.
